Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Candidates aged 18 to 65 years
- Willingness and legal ability to give consent
- For abdominal wall combined with another organ transplant: must be eligible for non-vascularized composite allograft organ transplant at Duke University Medical Center
You will not qualify if you...
- Current malignancy or history of malignancy that prevents transplantation
- Pregnancy: women of childbearing potential must have a negative pregnancy test within 48 hours of transplant and agree to use two reliable contraception methods for at least 2 years after transplant
- Medical conditions that exclude general anesthesia
- Ongoing or untreated substance abuse
