Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Candidates aged 18 to 65 years
  • Willingness and legal ability to give consent
  • For abdominal wall combined with another organ transplant: must be eligible for non-vascularized composite allograft organ transplant at Duke University Medical Center
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Current malignancy or history of malignancy that prevents transplantation
  • Pregnancy: women of childbearing potential must have a negative pregnancy test within 48 hours of transplant and agree to use two reliable contraception methods for at least 2 years after transplant
  • Medical conditions that exclude general anesthesia
  • Ongoing or untreated substance abuse
