Eligibility Criteria

You may qualify if you...

Systemically healthy patients
Have more than 20 teeth remaining with at least 5 teeth per quadrant
Present at least 30% of sites involved with periodontal disease
Have at least 2 teeth with a probing depth of 5 mm or more in each quadrant with clear bone loss on X-rays

You will not qualify if you...

History of systemic diseases affecting the gums
Smokers and alcoholic patients
Use of medications in the last 6 months that might affect gum health
Pregnant or breastfeeding women
Patients who had periodontal treatment within the last 12 months
