Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Participants not physically active
- Uncontrolled asthma with ACQ >1.5
- Asthma diagnosis based on Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA 2020) guidelines
- Under outpatient follow-up at the Pulmonology or Immunology service of the University of Sao Paulo General Hospital
- Receiving outpatient medical treatment for at least six months with stable clinical condition for at least 30 days
- Using optimized drug therapy for asthma
You will not qualify if you...
- Participation in another research protocol
- Difficulty understanding the questionnaires used in the study
- Regular practitioners of physical activity
- Pregnancy or psychiatric problems affecting understanding of questionnaires and study protocol
- Presence of other chronic lung, neurological, or musculoskeletal diseases that hinder or prevent physical activity
- Current smokers or ex-smokers who quit less than 1 year ago or smoked more than 15 pack-years
