Researchers are studying the potential of using a combination of the albumin to globulin ratio AGR and the prognostic nutritional index PNI as a predictive tool for disease activity in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus SLE. This observational study aims to correlate these nutritional and inflammatory markers with clinical signs and laboratory results to develop a simple, non-invasive, and cost-effective way to monitor SLE activity. Participants will include patients with active SLE who meet specific classification criteria, as well as healthy individuals matched by age and sex for comparison. The study involves measuring the albumin to globulin ratio and prognostic nutritional index in these participants to assess their disease activity. The primary outcome is to evaluate the usefulness of AGR as a reliable biomarker for predicting disease activity over a period from six months to one year. During the study, participants will undergo assessments including laboratory tests to measure AGR and PNI. Researchers will track these markers alongside clinical manifestations and other laboratory parameters. The study will monitor outcomes over time to determine if these markers can effectively predict disease activity in SLE. Participation duration and follow-up plans will align with the study timeline ending in June 2026.
