Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Volunteer to participate in this clinical trial and sign an informed consent form
- Female aged 18 to 70 years at the time of signing the informed consent form
- Diagnosed with unilateral breast cancer by histopathology or cytology
- No distant metastasis of breast cancer
- Scheduled to undergo unilateral axillary sentinel lymph node biopsy or axillary lymph node dissection
- Have not received any treatment for arm lymphedema
- No lymphangitis or other infections
You will not qualify if you...
- Breast malignancy originating from tumors other than primary breast cancer
- Presence of a second primary tumor
- Contraindications to airwave compression therapy including acute venous thrombosis, acute inflammatory skin disease, erysipelas, arrhythmia, pulmonary edema, unstable hypertension, presence of artificial pacemaker, or deep thrombophlebitis
- History of mental illness or inability to cooperate with treatment
- Embolism, cardiogenic edema, hepatogenic edema, history of upper limb trauma, or related complications
- Using medication that affects fluid or electrolyte balance
