Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Elective surgery under general anesthesia
  • Adult patients aged over 18 and under 76 years
  • Patients monitored with invasive arterial blood pressure waveform and capnography numeric data
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Emergency surgery
  • Cardiovascular and thoracic surgery
  • Known asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Moderate or worse abnormality on preoperative pulmonary function test
  • Intraoperative monitoring duration less than 30 minutes
