Study of Antibiotic Resistance Knowledge and Practices Among Healthcare Workers in Syria

This research investigates the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to antibiotic resistance and careful antibiotic use among healthcare workers in Syria. It is a multicenter cross-sectional study designed to gather information across different regions to better understand how healthcare workers perceive and manage antimicrobial resistance. Participants will complete an online questionnaire developed using Google Forms, which includes eight sections based on questions from previous studies. The survey will be distributed through social media in various governorates, and each questionnaire is expected to take about 5 to 10 minutes to finish. The study uses snowball sampling to recruit at least 200 healthcare workers, ensuring a confidence level of 95% with a 5% margin of error. During the study, participants responses will be collected and analyzed using SPSS software. Researchers will measure healthcare workers knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding antimicrobial resistance by reviewing questionnaire answers. The study will continue until June 2025, and all data handling and analysis will aim to provide insights into improving antibiotic use practices among healthcare professionals.
