Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Stroke patients aged 40 to 75 years
  • First occurrence of ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke confirmed by CT or MRI
  • Stroke onset between 2 weeks and 3 months prior (subacute phase)
  • Mild to moderate stroke effects (Modified Rankin Scale score 2 to 3)
  • Basic cognitive function to understand and comply with study requirements
  • Mild to moderate levels of depression, anxiety, or stress at study start
  • Basic language expression and comprehension abilities
  • Physical ability to perform simple limb movements and activities
  • Stable living environment allowing regular travel to treatment site
  • Willingness of patient and family to provide informed consent
  • No psychological or art therapy received in past 6 months
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • History or current diagnosis of severe mental illness (e.g., schizophrenia, bipolar disorder)
  • Severe physical illnesses such as advanced cancer, severe heart disease, chronic renal failure, or severe chronic respiratory diseases
  • Serious sensory impairments like blindness or profound hearing loss
  • Severe language impairments that affect communication
  • Current substance dependence or abuse (alcohol or drugs)
  • Severe allergies or physical discomfort related to art therapy materials
  • Lack of willingness or ability to provide informed consent
  • Other factors considered by researchers that may affect participation or outcomes (e.g., major life events)
