Study of Heart and Carotid Ultrasound Measurements in Healthy Children Ages 0 to 18 in Italy

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are studying healthy children in Italy aged 0 to 18 years to establish standard values for heart structure and function, coronary artery size, and carotid artery thickness using ultrasound imaging. This observational study includes both past and current patients to gather comprehensive data on cardiac and carotid measurements. Participants will undergo echocardiographic and carotid ultrasound assessments along with collection of body measurements and demographic information. The study involves reviewing existing records and enrolling new healthy children for imaging evaluations to define normal ranges for these cardiovascular parameters. During the study, children will have their heart and carotid arteries examined by ultrasound, and researchers will collect related demographic and physical data. The main goal is to understand the distribution of these ultrasound measurements in healthy children. This study will continue through December 2031, allowing detailed observation of cardiac and carotid features in the pediatric population.
