Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Non-valvular atrial fibrillation, including paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and persistent atrial fibrillation
- Age between 18 and 80 years
- Left atrium anteroposterior diameter less than 50 mm via transthoracic echocardiogram
- Meets criteria for bilateral pulmonary vein isolation after evaluation by electrophysiological specialists
- Consents to ablation treatment
You will not qualify if you...
- Intra-atrial thrombus detected by transesophageal echocardiogram
- Hyperthyroidism
- Previous radiofrequency ablation for atrial fibrillation
