Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18-70 years
- Consumed 3 or more drinks on one occasion 4 or more times in the previous 30 days
- Ability to read and speak English
- Ability to provide written informed consent
- Breath alcohol value of 0.00 during informed consent
- Owns a smartphone with an active service provider compatible with the study application
You will not qualify if you...
- Severe alcohol use disorder deemed too risky by medical staff
- Significant risk of dangerous alcohol withdrawal, including history of seizure due to withdrawal in last 12 months or concern about dangerous withdrawal
- Age 71 years or older
- Suicide attempt in the last 2 years
- Concern or symptoms of dangerous alcohol withdrawal
- Breath alcohol concentration not 0.00 on baseline breathalyzer test
- Any medical or psychiatric condition that would compromise safe participation as determined by investigators
