Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Adults of either sex (18 years or older)
  • Endotracheally intubated within the past 24 hours
  • Expected to require at least 24 hours of mechanical ventilation
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Receiving continuous neuromuscular blockade
  • Ventilated using Airway Pressure Release Ventilation mode
