Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 18 and 35 years or between 65 and 80 years
You will not qualify if you...
- Coronary artery disease
- Heart failure
- Pregnancy
- Diabetes
- Sleep disorders
- Shift work
- Going to sleep usually after midnight
- Travel across 2 or more time zones within one week before study visits
- History of frequent kidney stones
- Body mass index (BMI) of 35.0 kg/m2 or higher
- Use of nicotine products within the past two years
- Use of medications or supplements that affect the nitrate-nitrite-nitric oxide pathway or study outcomes, including allopurinol and proton pump inhibitors
