Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Signed informed consent.
  • Age 18 to less than 86 years.
  • Acute ischemic stroke with symptom onset within 12 hours before hospital admission.
  • Diagnosis of acute ischemic stroke confirmed by MRI showing diffusion restriction.
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Pregnancy or positive pregnancy test in women of child-bearing potential.
  • Standard contraindications to MRI.
  • Severe renal failure with glomerular filtration rate below 40.
