Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Stable HFpEF patients with NYHA Class II-III or elevated BNP 65100
- Age between 50 and 80 years
- Echocardiogram evidence of ejection fraction 6550% and Grade 2 or 3 diastolic dysfunction
- Chronic use of loop diuretics
- Currently taking beta-blocker medication
You will not qualify if you...
- Beta blocker prescribed for other cardiac conditions such as atrial fibrillation or coronary artery disease
- Heart rate greater than 100 beats per minute
- Hospitalization due to heart failure within the past 3 months
- Non-English speaker
