Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Stable HFpEF patients with NYHA Class II-III or elevated BNP 65100
  • Age between 50 and 80 years
  • Echocardiogram evidence of ejection fraction 6550% and Grade 2 or 3 diastolic dysfunction
  • Chronic use of loop diuretics
  • Currently taking beta-blocker medication
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Beta blocker prescribed for other cardiac conditions such as atrial fibrillation or coronary artery disease
  • Heart rate greater than 100 beats per minute
  • Hospitalization due to heart failure within the past 3 months
  • Non-English speaker
