AI-Summary

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are studying cardiovascular diseases in both hospital patients and healthy community volunteers to better understand diagnosis and predict outcomes. The cardiovascular conditions include coronary artery disease, heart failure, heart attacks, valve disease, cardiac surgery, arrhythmias, aneurysms, embolism, strokes, peripheral vascular disease, and hypertension. Current diagnostic methods may lack accuracy, so this research aims to collect detailed clinical information and biological samples to explore disease mechanisms and improve patient care. The study is observational and planned to last for 20 years. Participants include patients with various cardiovascular diseases as well as healthy volunteers without cardiovascular or other diseases. The study involves collecting physiological measurements, patient questionnaires, blood, and urine samples to analyze proteins, chemicals, and genetic biomarkers. These data will help examine disease mechanisms and improve predictions of treatment responses and future clinical events. There is no intervention or treatment given, as this is an observational study. During the study, participants will undergo assessments including clinical evaluations and sample collections. Researchers will monitor biomarkers over time to understand disease progression and treatment effects. The primary outcome is to enhance knowledge of cardiovascular disease mechanisms over 20 years, with secondary outcomes focusing on predicting responses to treatments based on biological markers. Participation involves regular data collection and follow-up, contributing to long-term cardiovascular research.
