Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Participants aged between 40 and 85 years
- Must speak and understand Swedish
- For subjective cognitive complaints: MMSE or MoCA scores between 26 and 30, no cognitive impairment, memory problems reported, no mild cognitive impairment or dementia
- For mild cognitive impairment: MMSE or MoCA scores between 24 and 30, impaired memory function, no dementia, abnormal cerebrospinal fluid amyloid-β 42/40 ratio
- For Alzheimer's disease patients: MMSE or MoCA scores between 18 and 28, impaired memory and other cognitive functions, meet NINCDS-ADRDA and DSM-IV criteria for probable Alzheimer's disease, abnormal cerebrospinal fluid amyloid-β 42/40 ratio
You will not qualify if you...
- Alcohol or drug abuse
- Unstable somatic disease or organ failure
- Refusal of cerebrospinal fluid testing, blood sampling, neuropsychological testing, brain imaging, electroencephalogram, or magnetoencephalogram
- Claustrophobia or metal implants that interfere with brain imaging scans
