Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Be between 40 and 69 years old at the time of ultrasound
  • No history of previous breast cancer including ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS)
  • Have dense breasts (BI-RADS category C or D) on mammography done within 12 months before breast ultrasound
  • Have a negative or benign mammogram assessment (BI-RADS 1 or 2)
  • Undergoing screening breast ultrasound using either an automated or handheld device
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • History of bilateral prophylactic mastectomy
  • History of bilateral foreign body injection
  • History of bilateral breast implants
  • History of bilateral breast reduction surgery or surgical excision
  • Currently pregnant or breastfeeding within the past 6 months
  • Known distant metastasis from another primary cancer
