Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Female patients 30 to 75 years old with dense breasts (ACR BI-RADS categories C and D) undergoing yearly mammography at MDACC
- Willing to co-enroll or already enrolled in PA17-0584
- Able and willing to provide informed consent and participate in the study
You will not qualify if you...
- New breast symptoms since last mammogram such as nipple discharge, palpable mass, skin dimpling, or focal pain
- Pregnant or breastfeeding currently or within the past 6 months
- Personal history of breast cancer including DCIS or invasive breast cancer
- Treatment for any cancer in the past 5 years except in-situ cervical or non-melanoma skin cancer
- Breast biopsy within the last 6 months
- Breast surgery within the last 12 months
- Breast MRI, MBI, or CEM done within the past 24 months
- Known allergy to iodine contrast agents
- History of severe allergic reaction requiring hospitalization or IV placement without prior safe exposure to iodine-based contrast
- Renal insufficiency as defined by MDACC policy
