Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Hereditary Pancreatitis or Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome
- Strong family history of pancreas cancer on one side of the family
- Confirmed germline mutation carrier (including BRCA2, FAMMM (CDKN2A/p16), PALB2, BRCA1, ATM, HNPCC, Lynch Syndrome genes, PRSS1, PRSS2, SPINK1, CFTR)
- Scheduled for endoscopic evaluation of pancreas
You will not qualify if you...
- Medical conditions or blood clotting problems that prevent endoscopy
- Prior surgeries that prevent optimal endoscopic ultrasound, such as partial or complete gastrectomy with Bilroth or Roux-en-Y anastomosis
- Narrowing or blockage in the upper digestive tract that blocks echoendoscope passage
- Poor overall health status
- Unable to provide informed consent
- Pregnancy
