Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Informed signed consent has been obtained from the volunteer.
- The volunteer has a BMI greater than 18.5 kg/m2
You will not qualify if you...
- Difficulty understanding study information as perceived by study staff.
- Taking too many medications as determined by a doctor.
- Unable or unwilling to delay morning medications until after fasting blood draw.
- Younger than 18 years.
- Increased bleeding tendency or use of blood thinning medication.
- Presence of chronic inflammation.
- Regular use of medications affecting inflammatory resolution (e.g., low-dose aspirin).
- Use of immunosuppressive drugs (e.g., methotrexate).
- Regular consumption of fish oils (omega 3).
- Significant gastrointestinal problems.
- Smoking or using chewing tobacco.
- Alcohol consumption within two days before the study visit.
- Tattoos or body piercings on forearms or stomach affecting examination.
- Failure to follow study instructions.
