Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Undergoing heart valve surgery via sternotomy
- Use of the same surgical technique (med-sternum approach)
- Age between 25 and 75 years
- Stable vital signs and hemodynamic values
- Fully aware and oriented to time and place
You will not qualify if you...
- Ejection fraction below 35%
- Age under 25 or over 75 years
- Body mass index 38 kg/m2 or higher
- Intubation time longer than 6 hours after surgery
- Uncontrolled arrhythmias
- Rheumatoid arthritis or other inflammatory/autoimmune diseases
- Active cancer
- Presence of cardiac pacemaker or defibrillator
- Mental health disorders
- Postoperative complications such as muscle weakness, wound infections, or stroke
- Refusal to participate in data collection
