Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Neonates less than 37 weeks gestational age admitted to NICU of Alexandria University Children's Hospitals
You will not qualify if you...
- Presence of major congenital abnormalities, immunodeficiency, or inborn errors of metabolism
- Early onset sepsis occurring before the third day of life
- Infants older than 72 hours at the time of randomization
- Lack of parental consent or refusal to participate
