You may qualify if you...

  • Neonates less than 37 weeks gestational age admitted to NICU of Alexandria University Children's Hospitals
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Presence of major congenital abnormalities, immunodeficiency, or inborn errors of metabolism
  • Early onset sepsis occurring before the third day of life
  • Infants older than 72 hours at the time of randomization
  • Lack of parental consent or refusal to participate
