Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Female participants
- Aged between 18 and 59 years old
- Body mass index of 25 kg/m�b2 or greater
- Agree to sign the informed consent form
You will not qualify if you...
- Presence of any chronic health conditions such as chronic renal failure, autoimmune, heart, or liver disease
- Thyroid diseases or use of medications for thyroid treatment
- Use of medications that affect total energy expenditure
- Use of steroids, immunosuppressants, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, weight-loss medications, oral hypoglycemic agents, insulin, or other drugs influencing metabolic or inflammatory parameters
- Previous weight loss surgery
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Smoking
- Alcohol use greater than 2 doses per day
