Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Participant is willing and able to give informed consent for participation in the study
- Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes or established Type 2 diabetes for more than 6 months
- Male or female
- Aged between 18 and 75 years inclusive
- Body mass index (BMI) less than or equal to 45 kg/m�b2
- No known sleep disorders except Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA)
- Currently on any glucose-lowering therapy (for Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes) or managing Type 2 diabetes through lifestyle changes
- Has a good command of the English language
You will not qualify if you...
- Participant is unwilling or unable to give informed consent
- Does not have a good command of the English language
- Younger than 18 years or older than 75 years
- Body mass index (BMI) greater than 45 kg/m�b2
- Regular cannabis user (weekly use)
- Has a terminal illness
- Has a known sleep disorder other than Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA)
- Regular weekly use of certain medicines including wakefulness-promoting agents (Modafinil, Amphetamine derivatives, Methylphenidate), sedatives (benzodiazepines, Z-drugs like zopiclone, zolpidem, zaleplon), melatonin or melatonin analogues, Clonazepam, or drugs for nocturnal movement disorders
