Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • BMI 20-25 kg/m2 or 30-37 kg/m2
  • For participants with obesity, waist-to-hip ratio of at least 0.95 in males and at least 0.90 in females
  • Sedentary lifestyle
  • Females must not be pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Ability to provide written informed consent and follow study instructions
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • History of medications that impact adipocyte or lipid metabolism
  • Smoking
  • Insomnia
  • Sleep apnea
  • Use of sleep medications
  • Employment in night or shift work
  • Extreme chronotypes
  • Allergy to lidocaine
