Clinical Comparative Evaluation of the Use of Photodynamic Therapy in Conjunction With the Use of Vitamin D in Management Stage II Grade B Periodontitis Patients
Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Systemic healthy patients
- Patients aged > 25 years
- Patients with Stage II Grade B periodontitis according to the 2017 classification
- Patients with interdental clinical attachment loss (CAL) of 3-4 mm and radiographic bone loss in the coronal third of the root
- Radiographic bone loss diagnosed using full mouth periapical radiographs at baseline
- No history of previous periodontal therapy
- No medications interfering with healing or periodontal health (e.g., anticonvulsants, calcium channel blockers, immunosuppressants)
- No prior periodontal surgery at involved sites
- Good oral hygiene and compliance with plaque control after initial therapy
- No antibiotic or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug use within the last three months
- No diseases affecting wound healing such as diabetes or coagulation disorders
You will not qualify if you...
- Taking Vitamin D supplements
- Smoking habits
- Pregnant or lactating mothers
- Periodontal surgery in the study area within the last 6 months
