What this Trial Is About
The purpose of the study is to assess the attitudes and the use of research by nurses at the IRCCS-CRO Aviano. Furthermore, it will make it possible to identify attitudes towards the use/non-use of research results, specific training needs and targeted interventions to ensure adequate care for cancer patients along the disease course, derived from a constant updating of nursing skills. The study will involve nurses working in different care settings of the Institute and some patients who will be able to express their care needs and research priorities, making a direct contribution towards development of care centred on the health needs, preferences and values of the cancer patients.

Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Nurses employed at IRCCS-CRO Aviano with fixed-term or permanent contract as of September 15, 2023
- Nursing work in medical oncology, surgical oncology, or high technology departments
- Full-time or part-time employment
- Signed consent for participation and data processing
- Patients admitted as in-patients to the institution
- Patients aged 18 years or older
- Signed consent for participation and data processing
- Good understanding of Italian language
You will not qualify if you...
- Nurses unwilling or uninterested in participating or signing consent
- Patients receiving care as Day-Hospital patients
- Patients younger than 18 years
- Patients diagnosed with cognitive dysfunction or psychiatric disorders
- Patients with difficulty understanding the Italian language
