Participants will be screened for chronic ocular surface pain and will complete weekly eye pain questionnaires for 12 weeks. Clinic visits at 2, 6, and 12 weeks after treatment will include corneal surface imaging and tear sample collection. Both eyes will be assessed with confocal microscopy and tear osmolarity tests, using the untreated eye as a control. The main measurement is corneal nerve imaging analysis over the 12-week period, alongside safety monitoring by the medical team.

You may qualify if you...

  • Documented symptoms of chronic ocular surface pain for at least 3 months
  • A score of 5 or higher on the single question COP-Q Eye Pain Severity Module
  • Able to obtain sufficient quality corneal in-vivo confocal microscopy images
  • Aged between 22 and 90 years
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Less than 50% improvement in VAS Eye Pain score after topical 0.5% proparacaine hydrochloride at screening
  • Clinically significant corneal scarring that could limit confocal microscopy
  • Insufficient number of corneal nerves to permit Fun-IVCM imaging
