Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Male and female osteoporotic patients aged 50 years or older
- Both hypertensive and normotensive patients
- Bone Mineral Density T-score 2.5 or more standard deviations below peak bone mass
You will not qualify if you...
- Use of drugs that may improve osteoporosis such as ACE inhibitors, ARBs, thiazide diuretics, nitrates, spironolactone, or statins
- Use of drugs that may worsen osteoporosis such as corticosteroids, loop diuretics, anticonvulsants, antidepressants, aromatase inhibitors, thyroid replacement therapy, and proton pump inhibitors
