What this Trial Is About
This pilot study aims at establishing personalized state-based rTMS for precision neurorehabilitation, we designed a within-subject cross-over study to test closed-loop repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation and electroencephalography (rTMS-EEG) comparing the targeting of two key nodes in the frontoparietal network during bimanual visuomotor force tracking in persons with upper extremity sensorimotor impairment affecting eye-hand control.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Adult volunteers aged 18 years or older
- Right-hand dominant (defined by Edinburg Handedness Scale)
- Voluntary whole-hand grip force at Medical Research Council scale level 2 or above
- Able to perform repeated grasp and release at 5% of maximum voluntary contraction using a digital dynamometer
You will not qualify if you...
- Any MRI risk factors such as metal or electronic implants, pacemakers, or claustrophobia
- Contraindications to rTMS including history of seizures or epileptic activity, or medications lowering seizure threshold
- Neurological or psychiatric disorders affecting cognition or ability to consent
- Substance use disorder
- Visual impairments preventing completion of scanner tasks
- Uncontrolled hypertension despite treatment
- Use of tricyclic antidepressants
- Musculoskeletal disorders affecting bimanual grasp and release
- Pregnancy or suspected pregnancy
- Severe aphasia affecting understanding and consent
