Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients 20 years old or older with CRAB infections such as pneumonia, urinary tract infection, skin and soft tissue infection, or bloodstream infection
- Able to provide informed consent or have a legal representative to provide consent if unable to consent personally
You will not qualify if you...
- Colistin minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) greater than 2 mg/L
- Complicated infections without adequate source control
- Intracranial infection
- Infective endocarditis
- Intraabdominal infection
- Bone and joint infection
- Allergy or contraindication to any study treatment
- Polymicrobial infection with carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa, carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales, or vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus
- Pregnancy
- Prior treatment with colistin or fosfomycin for more than 96 hours
- Life expectancy of 24 hours or less
- Refusal to participate
- Receiving hospice care
