Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Patients 20 years old or older with CRAB infections such as pneumonia, urinary tract infection, skin and soft tissue infection, or bloodstream infection
  • Able to provide informed consent or have a legal representative to provide consent if unable to consent personally
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Colistin minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) greater than 2 mg/L
  • Complicated infections without adequate source control
  • Intracranial infection
  • Infective endocarditis
  • Intraabdominal infection
  • Bone and joint infection
  • Allergy or contraindication to any study treatment
  • Polymicrobial infection with carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa, carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales, or vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus
  • Pregnancy
  • Prior treatment with colistin or fosfomycin for more than 96 hours
  • Life expectancy of 24 hours or less
  • Refusal to participate
  • Receiving hospice care
