Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to understand and provide written informed consent
- Ability to understand Dutch
- Group 1: No cardiac conditions based on medical history
- Group 2: Patients with atrial fibrillation or current/history of cardiac conditions (e.g., heart failure, myocardial infarction)
You will not qualify if you...
- Fingers with unnatural coloring such as tattoos or ink
- Conditions causing tremors or inability to hold hand still for at least 60 seconds (e.g., Parkinson's, dementia)
- Reduced blood flow in fingertips (e.g., perniosis, severe callus formation)
- Disability to perform measurements according to instructions
- Presence of cardiac pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, or other implanted electronic devices
