Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Body mass index (BMI) of 27.5 kg/m² or higher
- Undergoing metabolic bariatric surgery
- Diagnosed with Spleen Deficiency and Excess Dampness syndrome according to Traditional Chinese Medicine
You will not qualify if you...
- Contraindications for metabolic bariatric surgery
- Diagnosis of type 1 diabetes
- Presence of severe liver or kidney diseases, malignant tumors, psychiatric disorders, or other significant systemic diseases
- Use of other medications or treatments affecting body weight, such as metformin, semaglutide, or endoscopic interventions
- Pregnant or lactating women
