Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Able and willing to provide written informed consent and follow the study protocol
- In good general health based on screening answers
- Able to read and understand English
- Aged 18 years or older
- No history of skin conditions affecting skin barrier integrity
You will not qualify if you...
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- History of drug or alcohol abuse or drinking more than 2 standard alcoholic drinks per day
- Current smoker or history of smoking
- Presence of eczema, psoriasis, wounds, ulcers, or other skin diseases on the thighs
- Birthmarks, tattoos, scars, or skin disfigurement in the treatment area
- Sunburn or tan in the treatment area
- Use of topical or systemic retinoids in the past 6 months in the treatment area
- Use of prescription topical medications like corticosteroids or hydroquinone in the past 6 months in the treatment area
- History of blood clotting problems
- History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring
- Allergic reaction to local anesthesia, aluminum chloride, or glycerol
- Any condition or medication that might interfere with the study or pose safety risks
- Unable to follow study protocol
