What this Trial Is About

This research aims to compare the effects of scooping mobilization and dynamic cupping therapy on elbow stiffness in children aged 6 to 13 who have post-fracture elbow stiffness with a minimal immobilization period of three weeks. The study is a randomized clinical trial conducted at Alqamar Hospital Shakarghar and includes 28 children divided equally into two groups. It excludes children with neurological impairments, musculoskeletal disorders, infections, tumors, metabolic bone disease, or pathological fractures. One group will receive scooping mobilization combined with electrotherapy such as TENS and therapeutic ultrasound for 2 minutes per session, five days a week, for four weeks. This technique involves gentle joint mobilization through traction and smooth curved motions to improve elbow movement. The other group will receive dynamic cupping therapy combined with the same electrotherapy for 10 minutes per session, five days a week, for four weeks. Dynamic cupping involves suction cups moved gently over the skin to promote blood flow and muscle relaxation while encouraging elbow movement. Participants will be assessed before and after the four-week intervention using a goniometer to measure the range of motion and the Quick DASH questionnaire to evaluate functional outcomes. Data will be collected and analyzed to understand the effects of each therapy on elbow mobility and function. The total study duration includes these four weeks of treatment and assessments. Safety and adherence to the procedure will be monitored throughout the trial.
