To evaluate the diagnostic performance of Tc99m sestamibi (MBI) compared to breast MRI in women who are at high risk for developing breast cancer. To assess the relationship of tumor size, histologic subtype and location of lesion and how it affects lesion conspicuity and sensitivity in MBI detected cancers.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Female patients aged 18 years and older of any race identified as having an elevated risk for breast cancer
- High risk defined as lifetime risk over 20%, lobular neoplasia or atypical ductal hyperplasia, atypia NOS, or a genetic mutation predisposing to breast cancer
- Scheduled for a Breast MRI and willing to complete both Breast MRI and MBI exams within a two-week window
- Willing to undergo biopsy of any positive findings
- Willing to complete a post-examination survey
- Written informed consent obtained; language interpreter assistance provided for non-English speakers
You will not qualify if you...
- Pregnant women excluded due to use of radioactive tracer and gadolinium contrast in imaging exams
