Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age > 18 years
- Diagnosed with severe community acquired pneumonia (CAP)
- Physician decides corticosteroid therapy is appropriate for severe CAP
You will not qualify if you...
- Hospital admission for more than 24 hours
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
- Active tuberculosis or fungal infection
- Pneumonia caused by influenza
- Intolerance to either hydrocortisone or prednisolone
