Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Pediatric patients aged 3 months to 8 years
- Diagnosis of single ventricle physiology
- Scheduled for Glenn or Fontan surgery or cardiac catheterization
- Patients with Glenn or Fontan shunt scheduled for surgery
You will not qualify if you...
- Refusal of legal guardians to consent
- Emergency surgery
- Presence of tracheostomy tubes
- Recent or active upper respiratory tract infection
- Airway anomalies such as Pierre Robin or Treacher Collins syndrome
- Intensive care unit stay due to complications not related to airway issues
