Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Adults aged 18 to 40 years of both sexes
- Inadequate bone width in maxillary anterior alveolar ridges for implant placement
- No complicating systemic conditions that contraindicate surgery or implant placement
- Adequate oral hygiene
- Good general health and willingness to be randomly assigned to either study group
- At least 3 months healing after tooth extraction with a horizontal bone defect and minimum bone width of 3 mm in the maxillary esthetic zone
You will not qualify if you...
- Presence of vertical ridge defect
- Undercut on the labial or buccal side of the ridge
- Thick cortical bone without cancellous bone inside
- Uncontrolled systemic disorders such as diabetes mellitus, uncontrolled periodontal disease, or history of head and neck radiotherapy
- Smoking
- Pregnancy
- Allergy to medications used in the study
- Noncompliance or inability to attend follow-up appointments
