Researchers are evaluating the pink esthetic score using three different techniques during second-stage implant surgery. This randomized clinical trial aims to compare the outcomes of two papilla reconstruction exposure methods against the mid-crestal sulcular incision. The study focuses on patients who have received dental implants in the anterior and premolar regions, assessing esthetic and healing outcomes to better understand the best surgical approach for implant exposure. The trial includes three different surgical procedures. The first is an "I" shaped incision involving careful horizontal and vertical incisions around the implant to expose it and connect a healing abutment without sutures. The second technique, called the Split-Finger Procedure, uses a series of interlacing incisions designed to elevate soft tissue and reconstruct papillae with sutures to secure the tissue. The third method is the Mid-Crestal Sulcular Incision, which involves a long incision along the crest of the gum with flap reflection to access the implant cover screw. Each technique is performed during the implant uncovering phase. Participants will be monitored over several months with assessments including the pink esthetic score at 6 months as the primary outcome. Secondary measures include healing indices at 1 month, volumetric tissue changes at baseline, 3, 6, and 9 months, patient-reported pain using a visual analog scale at 2 weeks, and oral health impact via a questionnaire at 6 months. The study uses double masking and randomized allocation to evaluate outcomes. The total participation involves multiple follow-ups to observe healing and esthetic results after surgery.

Researchers are evaluating different treatment methods for interdental black triangles, which are gaps caused by the loss of gum tissue between teeth. These gaps not only affect appearance but can also cause food to get stuck and lead to gum problems. This study compares surgical and nonsurgical treatments to find the most effective way to manage these black triangles in adults aged 18 to 50 years with mild to moderate papillary loss. The study randomly assigns 30 participants to one of three treatment groups: surgical reconstruction using the tube grafting technique, papillary augmentation with hyaluronic acid injections, or a restorative approach using injection molding composite to reshape teeth. Surgical treatment involves grafting tissue to rebuild the gum area, while the nonsurgical options include a filler injection to increase gum volume and a composite resin technique to reshape teeth surfaces and reduce the gap. Participants will undergo assessments before treatment and at 3 and 6 months afterward. Researchers will measure the black triangle’s surface area and height, along with periodontal health indicators like plaque and bleeding. Patient satisfaction with the esthetic results will be recorded using a Visual Analog Scale. The study aims to provide evidence on the effectiveness and stability of these treatments to guide dental care decisions.
