The hypothesis of the study is to show that physical activity during the dialysis session in dialyzed patients has a benefit on quality of life, as well as on muscle, cardiovascular and dialysis parameters.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Adults aged 18 and over, undergoing chronic hemodialysis at CHI André Grégoire for more than 3 months
- Consent to participate in physical activity during dialysis sessions
- Written informed consent
- Affiliation with a social security system
You will not qualify if you...
- Lower limb amputation without a prosthesis
- Non-healed foot wounds
- Hemoglobin below 8 g/dl
- Patient refusal to participate
- Severe respiratory disease requiring oxygen
- Severe cardiac disease (NYHA class 3 or 4, LVEF below 30%)
- Advanced dementia or psychiatric illness preventing cooperation or consent
- Non-French speaking patients unable to understand the study
- Patients under guardianship
- Advanced osteoarthritis or recent hip/knee prosthesis within 3 months
- Low blood pressure (below 90/40 mmHg) or high blood pressure (above 180/110 mmHg)
- Fever with temperature 38°C or higher
- Low blood sugar in diabetic patients (below 0.8 g/l)
- Low oxygen saturation below 95% in ambient air or difficulty breathing
- COVID-19 symptoms or positive test within the last 21 days, unable to pedal
- Chest pain or unstable angina
- Muscle or joint problems preventing use of the pedal exerciser as assessed by a physiotherapist
