The goal of this observational study is to explore the correlation between the difficulty of colonoscopy and the patients' personality in the population receiving initial colonoscopy in Peking Union Medical College Hospital. Receive routine colonoscopy 2. Fill out the GAD-7 and PHQ-9 scales 3. Fill out the Big Five Personality Questionnaire.

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Age 18-75 years old
  • Patients or family members able to understand the study and willing to sign informed consent
  • Undergoing colonoscopy at the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Center of Peking Union Medical College Hospital
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Patients who have had colonoscopy before
  • Patients unable to read or write
  • Patients with severe mental disorders or organic brain disorders
  • Poor bowel preparation (BBPS less than 6)
  • Patients with chronic constipation or history of intestinal diverticula
  • Previous colorectal surgery
  • Previous severe colonic strictures or obstructive tumors
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding patients
  • Patients with severe infectious diseases
  • Patients with inflammatory bowel disease or familial polyposis
