Age: 18Years +

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Diagnosis of cancer with a tumor in the esophagus or esophagus-stomach junction
  • Age 18 years or older
  • Planned radiation therapy treatment
  • Karnofsky performance status of 60 or higher
  • Life expectancy of at least two months
  • Able to understand and sign the informed consent form
  • Able to undergo simulation and radiation using CPAP
  • Candidates for definitive, palliative, or pre-operative radiation, with or without chemotherapy
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Significant health conditions preventing the use of CPAP
  • Currently hospitalized by administrative or court order
  • Special population status
  • History of psychiatric problems affecting understanding or consent
