Developing and Testing a Spanish Educational Tool for Latinos with Medullary Thyroid Cancer

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are developing a culturally adapted educational tool to help LatinoLatina individuals affected by medullary thyroid cancer MTC. This project builds on an existing resource, MTCEducate.org, aiming to create easy-to-understand, reliable information tailored to this community. The study focuses on improving understanding and accessibility of MTC information, with the goal of supporting patients and caregivers. The study proceeds in three phases first, co-developing the adapted tool using input from the LatinoLatina MTC population second, testing and refining the educational prototype by assessing participants understanding through surveys and third, evaluating the tools acceptability among a broader group of Latinoa participants and caregivers. The study also plans to share the final educational tool widely and summarize user characteristics. Participants will complete questionnaires and surveys throughout the study, which lasts about one year. These assessments help measure how well the educational tool is understood and accepted. The study includes interviews and qualitative methods to gather feedback. Participants will contribute by reviewing the tool and providing input on its clarity and usefulness, helping researchers improve the resource for the community.
