Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Body Mass Index (BMI) of 25 or higher
- Identify as Hispanic or Latino
- Age between 18 and 85 years
- Have had any type of stroke
- Medically able to participate in a weight-loss program
- Completed the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire with a positive result
- At least 12 months have passed since the first stroke
You will not qualify if you...
- Any medical reasons that prevent physical activity
- Low cognitive function
- Currently residing in a hospital, acute rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility
- Not fluent in English or Spanish
- Have a pre-existing eating disorder
- Are pregnant
