Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • History of Stage 0-III invasive breast cancer
  • Having undergone lumpectomy or mastectomy
  • Moderate to severe persistent post-surgical pain with pain scores of 3 or higher on a 0-10 scale at least 3 months after completing surgery, chemotherapy, and/or radiation
  • Age 18 years or older
  • Able to read and understand English
  • Ability to provide informed consent
  • Ability to perform seated exercises
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Unstable cardiovascular disease in the last 6 months
  • Psychiatric disorders or conditions preventing participation (e.g., untreated major depression, psychosis, substance use disorder, severe personality disorder)
  • Metastatic breast or other concurrent cancer
  • Pregnant
  • Attended 20 or more dance or similar classes (e.g., yoga, tai chi) in the past 6 months
  • Planned surgery during the intervention period
  • Chronic medical conditions impacting upper extremity function (e.g., stroke, Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis)
  • Currently enrolled in a physical therapy course
  • Medical conditions or medications that prohibit exercise program participation
