Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients aged 45 to 64 years with severe to profound bilateral post-lingual sensorineural hearing loss
- Maximum speech intelligibility of 70% for disyllabic words in silence with hearing aids at 60 dB SPL, French-speaking
- Healthy controls with normal hearing matched on age, sex, and education level
You will not qualify if you...
- Any disability preventing test performance
- Past or current neurological or psychiatric disorders, including meningitis
- Current use of psychotropic drugs
- Vulnerable subjects
