The purpose of this study is to improve ways of providing mental health support to Spanish-speaking Latino participants who have cancer and experience depression, insomnia, and fatigue. Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Pathologically confirmed solid tumor cancer at stages I, II, or III
- Currently undergoing systemic therapy or within 1 year after completing systemic therapy
- Age 21 years or older
- Lives in mainland U.S. or Puerto Rico
- Identifies as Latino/a or Hispanic
- Reports Spanish as preferred language
- Speaks Spanish "Very well" or "Well"
- Presence of fatigue and disturbed sleep with score ≥ 3 on MD Anderson Symptom Inventory
- Able to read Spanish (for mental health providers)
- Mental health provider treating Latino cancer patients with ≥ 3 years clinical experience (for providers)
You will not qualify if you...
- Cognitive impairment preventing informed consent or study participation
- History in last 12 months of hypothyroidism or abnormal thyroid function, sleep apnea, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, neuromuscular disease, or alcohol/drug abuse
- Pregnant or lactating women
- Presence of suicidal risk based on Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale
