Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18 to 74 years at the time of consent
- Able to provide written informed consent
- No prior cancer treatment (local or systemic)
- Pathologically confirmed gastric cancer diagnosis within 42 days before blood draw, or highly suspicious cancer diagnosis by imaging with pathology confirmation within 42 days after blood draw
- Diagnosis of peritoneal metastasis by laparoscopy with cytology (case arm) or no peritoneal metastasis by laparoscopy with cytology (control arm)
You will not qualify if you...
- Insufficient qualified blood samples
- Pregnant or lactating
- Recipient of organ transplant or prior non-autologous (allogeneic) bone marrow or stem cell transplant
- Received blood transfusion within 7 days before blood draw
- Received anti-tumor drugs for non-cancer diseases within 30 days before blood draw
- Presence of other known malignant tumors or multiple primary tumors
